The role is as Junior Administrator in Windows/UNIX(AIX), server hardware, server configurations, network components, network topologies, network protocols, domain structure, security, active directory, internet in New York, NY

Local BS Computer Science candidates with focus on Operating System Design and Implemention, Compiler Design, Networks preferred
US citizens or green card only

Application Hosting Environment

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

Document, develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and processes

Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling clients, staff and partners

Actively participate on specific projects and provide assistance with day to day management of environment tickets. The person who fills this position must have an excellent technical understanding of the environment; AIX, WebSphere and network technologies so that they can diagnose problems and understand how day to day system changes will impact the environment

Assist project teams with technical issues including needs, benefits, research & development within the project life-cycle; analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions

Must have strong problem determination skills with the ability to work with technical teams during times of critical situations

Must be able to work on deploying complex application into the environment

Scripting skills to work towards automation of day to day tasks and server builds

Interface with customers and team members to support refresh/clone requests, Database Patch Management, database user and developer support.
Manage database and application implementation or upgrade timelines

Some possible 3rd Shift work required (11-7)
